Kickflip Indy

One of the biggest event this year was the Olympic Game.

I didn’t have much expectations or support for the Olympic game. Still, once it starts, it’s tempting to support the participating athletes.

This time several new sports have been introduced. Skateboarding is one of them. Young Japanese women took gold and silver medals in a competition called Park.

Misugu Okamoto, who ranked first in the world ranking, could not win the medal. She tried to decide on a big move called kickflip Indy to win a come-from-behind victory in the final. Misugu was successful in qualifying. But she failed.

I was impressed with sports for the first time in a long time by this bold attitude to give her best performance. This is a really “Nice Try!”

The rivals also paid great respect to that attitude. They hugged Misugu, who shed tears due to her failure, and carried her up.
