I often exchange emails at work. Sometimes the text from the other person looks very critical, and sometimes you want to say, “I know that even if you don’t say it!”
Don’t reply that way ^^;
You may think you know what they said in emails, but it’s NOT right to complain about their message if the argument is correct. Instead, it is better to reply, “Thank you for pointing this out.”
I can’t see the other person’s facial expression by email. It’s easy to make such a false guess when you read the text alone, even though they never find you stupid or get mad at you. Under the COVID-19 pandemic, we should be aware of the risks lurking in text-only communication, as we are less likely to do face-to-face work.
