It’s good to go for the rules. It is generally accepted as a fact. But remember what the goal is.
That’s what I think when I’m driving. Unfortunately, many drivers don’t turn on their turn signals where I live when changing lanes. Even if there is not enough distance between cars, you will also encounter cars that change lanes forcibly.
At times like that, I sometimes think for a moment that I don’t need to slow down and give my opponent space. They didn’t turn on their turn signals and may not have even seen my car in the first place. I’m right. I did nothing wrong!
However, since I am on my way to work or on my way home, what I must complete is to reach my destination safely. That’s my goal. Therefore, it does not matter which driver’s behavior conforms to the rule. I think this way and try to drive safely.
