As introduced in “Never ending story?” I supported a research team for a large-size grant application, and we had an interview. Three people gathered at the office of the principal investigator (PI) of the proposed research project and participated in the online interview. The interview took about 30 minutes, and I felt it finished quickly. The PI prepared the presentation manuscript and effectively used the 10-minute allotted time. Many questions were critical, but they were so predictable that I was not surprised. After finishing, it was a short evaluation meeting on the spot. Everyone thought that they did as much as they could. I felt so too and thought, “If this proposal isn’t nice……”
